Posted in News & Announcements

We bid a fond farewell to Dr. Stensrud, our wonderful principal for the past ten years, and to Dr. Wihongi, our assistant principal for the same ten years.  We thank them for all that they have done, and wish them well in their new positions elsewhere in the district.

Have a wonderful summer.

School Boundaries

Posted in News & Announcements

In the fall 2011 and spring 2012 the Canyons Board of Education voted on new school boudaries for both the elementary and secondary schools. This coming 2013-14 school year these new school boundaries will take effect. The new boundaries were created using community input and will better accomodate student enrollment and streamline school feeder patterns.

Grade Reconfiguration

Posted in News & Announcements

gr-logo.pngStarting the 2013-14 school year the makeup of our schools will change so we can better prepare students for college and careers. High schools will serve students in grades 9-12, middle schools will be home to sixth- through eighth-graders, and elementary schools will educate kindergarten through fifth-grade students.

The Canyons Board of Education on Feb. 16, 2010 unanimously approved Utah's first college- and career-ready diplomas program, and began efforts to reconfigure school grade levels (i.e., K-5, 6-8, 9-12), facilities, and programs to better address student academic needs, reach out to communities, and provide more educational choices to students and parents.
